Collaborate, originally uploaded by Manzabar.
Inspired by Andy Carvin’s yeoman effort, as well as SoMe Election 08, I am in the mood for something adventurous. Specifically, how can 90.9 collaborate on some sort sort of crowd-sourced project?
In WBUR’s Plutonic Web 2.0 incarnation, the drawbridge is fully extended. A veritable workshop has sprung up behind studio glass, professional and citizen journalists working shoulder-to-shoulder honing their craft. It is an environment rich with cross-fertilization from which blooms engaging, creative, enriching original content (and community).
Sadly, folks, we are going to have to keep our ambitions a little more modest in scope this time around. That said, there are obviously infinite possibilities to mine online. How or what form or shape do they take? What is our role?
I anticipate the core contributors to this endeavor to come from the ranks of those who have been following WBUR’s social media experiments or have attended the “Tweet-ups. ” But I hope we can generate interest from others as well.
If you have an idea, suggestion, or brainstorm, please comment below, e-mail or Tweet me, or pigeonhole me at next Tuesday’s meet and greet.
Thanks.

[...] Now where do we go with all this? Not sure, but the ride has been too much fun to get off just yet. What I really am hoping for are some answers to this as well generating some movment towards this. [...]
WNYC (and others, I’m sure) have done some cool stuff around pubradio crowdsourcing. Although I for one am ready to retire that term. How about “Comments 2.0″? The evolution of participation towards something that collectively builds value over venting? Kidding aside, I wrote about some experiments and possibilities here:

Might be something in there. Might not.
Also, I liked the thought of doing something productive at/around a tweetup. Event-based collaboration has legs, I think.
Thanks Keith for this very comprehensive list of ideas. I will share with the group at the next little get together.
Actually, scratch that. You will share with the group.
