Random notes from a slumberous Summer afternoon…
The webmaster is slouched over his PC well into a frenetic, caffeine-fueled, finger-numbing, code-slinging marathon, the end of which promises a new, improved, sweet-lookin’ On Point website. The monster is due to rise up off the slab this week. So keep the faith, people. We are oh-so-very-close.
I am still giddy over how much fun I had at our first social media event, held last Wednesday. The estimable David Karp, who blogs over at Limeduck.com (!), plumbs a few gems from the session that followed the comic stylings of the incomparable Jonathan Peck. It is well worth the read, especially if you couldn’t join us. Of course David’s imaginative menagerie of topics, stunning photography, and breezy expository style always make his blog well worth the time.
Speaking of social media gatherings, is there interest out there to justify a get-together in August? Some of you did express an interest in a morning session. Is this still the case?
Our YouTube account grows fat on account of some of our reporters’ willingness to think outside the radio box. I’d be remiss without acknowledging arts reporter Andrea Shea, a one-woman video shooting fury. A couple of hours with iMovie and she graces us with this nifty little feature. A tip of the hat to you, Andrea!
Stay tuned…
